Chuckery party food fun day

A community party food day will be held this Saturday at Chuckery Primary School in Tantarra Street and everyone is invited.
Cake decoration, face painting, mendhi, family cookery and a range of food related workshops are just some of the activities on offer. Admission is free and the day starts at 12 noon when lunches will be available.
Headteacher Margaret Lever said: “We want our school to be at the very heart of the Chuckery community. We have a wonderfully rich diversity of traditions here and one of the things that brings us all together is the enjoyment of good food. We are looking forward to welcoming our families and our neighbours to what I am sure will be a fantastic day.”
Extended schools co-ordinator Andy Bonnar said: “We had a really successful community day back in June and although the weather was atrocious, the turn-out was brilliant. This time we hope that even more people will come and join in with the fun.”
The event finishes with free party food at 4-00pm.
