Walsall bus consultation open day
The YamYam 11 Feb 10
Public transport users in Walsall are to be given the opportunity to have their say on the future of bus services in the borough. An open day will take place on Tuesday 16 February in Walsall town centre, when members of the public will be able to express their views.
A “meet the manager” session takes place at the St Paul's bus station travel shop between 7-30am and 9-00am followed by the chance to talk to operators aboard a National Express bus parked outside T.J.Hughes at the top of Park Street between 10-00am and 3-00pm. The open days ends with a public meeting of the Transport User's Forum at the Council House in Lichfield Street between 6-00pm and 8-00pm.
Director of bus and highways at Centro, Stephen Rhodes, said:
“Events like these are vital if we are to understand the wants and needs of local bus users, providing an excellent opportunity for Centro and the bus operators to hear the views of the people that buses are being provided for, take on board their feedback and use it to improve services where necessary.”
