Freezing conditions return to Walsall
The YamYam 1 Feb 10
Ice and snow returned to Walsall this morning causing more rush hour misery as the Met Office issued another severe weather warning with ice forming on untreated roads and pavements...

Road conditions across the borough caused long delays for motorists and an accident closed the Birmingham Road near the One Stop shopping centre at Perry Barr causing queues as far back as Scott Arms. This had a knock-on effect leading to long delays on Queslett Road as well as routes in Streetly and Aldridge.
Skip Lane at Sutton Road was blocked due to a number of accidents and the Broadway at the Arboretum junction was at a stand-still. Traffic on the M6 was stationary between junction 14 and junction 9.
The wintery conditions are not expected to last although more scattered snow showers are a possibility and temperatures will remain around zero degrees.
