Walsall young people step up to a career in construction

A new training course is under way in Walsall to give young people a taste of a range of building skills and encourage them into work and out of trouble.

The 12 week course, at Frank F Harrison Skills Centre in Leamore Lane, Bloxwich, is introducing 10 young people to plumbing, building and plastering trades.

It is being organised by staff from Walsall Council’s Youth Justice Service, which is part of the borough’s Integrated Young People’s Support Services (IYPSS)…
