Walsall patients fear surgery cut

Walsall residents fighting a last-ditch battle to save their local GP surgery from closure won the backing of a trio of local MP’s at a protest on Monday – but still fear the local NHS Trust will shortly wield the axe.
The Abbey Square surgery on the Mossley Estate doesn’t fit the Trust’s vision of funding larger premises capable of delivering outpaitient services, and following the retirement of the two resident medics – Drs. Abdul Ghaffar and Rafat Ghaffar – they want the locals to travel to the Pinfold Health Centre…
