Walsall Council leaders tell EDL; “You’re not welcome”

Leaders of the major political groups on Walsall Council issued a clear joint statement to the English Defence League today.
In a joint statement, Coun Mike Bird, Walsall Council leader, Coun Tim Oliver, leader of the Labour opposition group and Coun Ian Shires, leader of the Liberal Democrat group, said: “We are not officially aware of any protest but are monitoring the situation.
“Let us be quite clear. The English Defence League are not welcome here in Walsall”…
