Rugby, to some, may be just a game, but for those who play or are involved with the sport, it can be a way of life. For Elfyn Pugh, it is definitely the latter.
The grandfather, who originally hails from the small town of Harlech in north-west Wales, was handed the inaugural lifetime achievement award by the RFU for his 40 dedicated years of coaching the sport across the West Midlands and Staffordshire – an award the proud Welshman describes as “quite an honour”.
From the RFU’s perspective, it is a feat that is “exceptional and without parallel”…

Aston kicked off their league campaign with a hard-fought but deserved win at Willenhall, securing a bonus point in the final minute as skipper Chris Goldsmith scored their fourth try of the day.
Aston had the upper hand in the early stages and took the lead after just three minutes, as Mick Tate cantered over to open the scoring.
