Walsall in no longer the fattest town in Britain, just the fattest in England. Coatbridge in Lanarkshire has been labelled as Britain’s fattest town after a report found that 21% of its residents are clinically obese with a body mass index (BMI) of more than 30.
The figures are the result of a series of lifestyle interviews with people in neighbourhoods across Britain by market-research firm CACI.
Glasgow North East, Methil, in Fife, and Walsall were second in the list with only 20 per cent of obese residents, while Kilmarnock and Bellshill, followed with 19 per cent…
