Survival secured in spite of early scares
STREETLY FIRST XI (232-9) drew with HIGHWAY (159-9)
Streetly travelled to league runners-up Highway needing points to secure their Premier status in a very tight division – and got their wish with a winning draw.
Asked to bat first in very friendly bowling conditions, Streetly lost their very strong middle order batsmen and were in serious trouble at 57-5.
C Hughes (32) and O Crutchley (38) gave star of the show opener S Eastham (96) great support and, backed up by the tail, got Streetly a very good score of 232-9…
