Chris Sterling’s hat-trick was the highlight of Rushall Olympic’s emphatic home win as the Pics claimed three goals in each half against bottom markers Spalding United and crucially maintain their position right in the thick of the promotion play-off positions.

The visitors broke the deadlock on seven minutes when Melbourne broke down the right and provided a pin-point centre that Anthony Maguire clinically headed inside the near post as the midfielder beat his marker to the ball…

Chasetown consolidated second place in the UniBond South with success over struggling Spalding. The home side dominated the first half with Gary Hay and Grant Ryan leading the attack.
