More than 700 shops and homes lost electricity in Walsall town centre on Thursday affecting shops at the Old Square shopping centre. In Wolverhampton more than 5,100 homes and properties were without power for more than two-and-a-half hours after a cable failure. Central Network said both power cuts weren’t caused by the weather, but the biting conditions hampered engineers attempting to repair the faults…
