We still have problems with parking around the Manor hospital. We hope the bus service, that will come from the town centre every ten minutes into the hospital grounds, will help to solve this difficult problem.
Potholes all over the Pleck Ward are of great concern. Every pressure that can be put on the Council will be used.
Cars parking outside school gates in the ward are a great danger to our children. A solution is needed before someone is seriously injured.
We will continue support the police to reduce crime, anti-social behaviour, and prostitution in Pleck with the initiative they are taking to tackle these problems.

As Walsall’s Running Ambassador and for the past 18 years nursed the ill and vulnerable at the Manor Hospital, Mark Dabbs works and lives in Pleck. He is genuine Pleck with a passion and interest in the area. Author of three books about local history, contributes articles and cartoons for ”It’s A Loff” and the Black Country Bugle. Mark has already used his own proven initiative to combat graffiti, fly posting and litter through Pleck Action on Litter scheme. The state of the roads needs more work, they are hard on a runner. Prostitution can be ended by a few simple steps, without cost. Free monthly skips combating litter and tipping. Encourage writing in schools by funds for projects financed by the allowance councillors get. Use that allowance to benefit the area.

Pleck Liberal Democrats have chosen local campaigner Mohammed Yaqub as their candidate in Pleck Ward for this May’s crucial local election.
If elected Mohammed will become the first Liberal Democrat Councillor for Pleck Ward and will join a well established team of Liberal Democrat Councillors on Walsall Council.
Mohammed is well known in the community as a tireless campaigner for local people and a leader in the fight to get Walsall Council, Walsall Housing Group and other key service providers to sit up and take notice of Pleck, Birchills and Alumwell residents who have, for so long, been taken for granted by Labour and Tories alike.
Analysis
A marginal initially seen as a straight fight between Labour and the Conservatives, this ward has seen a strong door-step swell for the Liberal Democrats and could go any way. Independent Mark Dabbs, the “running ambassador” stands again after achieving a credible 488 votes and with a track record of championing local causes he could take more votes from all three main parties.
