In-tandem Management Solutions Ltd (i-tms) is organising a cycle challenge on behalf of Walsall Hospice and had been promised a minibus and driver by Walsall Community Transport. Sadly, due to recent cuts, the minibus is no longer available which leaves us in a bit of a spot – with only five weeks to go until the ride.

“Why do you need a minibus?” I hear you ask. Well, I’m riding the 88 miles on a tandem and will be joined by a number of people who will ride a leg or two each. While not on the tandem, these people will need to be following us round and a minibus is the perfect solution.
We want to create a fun atmosphere while awaiting turns on the tandem and the minibus will be the ideal place for people to sit and keep warm and have a bit of fun. In addition, if we find other cyclists have a problem and are unable to continue, they can have their bike picked up by the broom wagon, and ride round in the minibus.

So, what we are looking for is a small minibus and driver for the day (probably 10+ hours), and a sponsor to help us pay for fuel.
If you, or someone you know could help us, or you want more information, please contact Graham on 07814 125053

When Jim Billingham set himself the challenge of cycling the 900 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats, it didn’t cross his mind that he may not be able to do it.
But as he became more ill with the colon cancer he had been battling for 10 years, he asked his near-lifelong friend to complete the task for him. And on May 19, 72-year-old company director Phil Ramsell will be starting the gruelling challenge in memory of his friend, who died on March 12.
