Heavy rain forces postponement
Charlie Blakemore fears Chasetown’s reputation as giant-killers will only make their task to reach the FA Trophy semi-finals even more difficult tomorrow.
The Scholars have enjoyed their best-run in non-league’s premier knockout competition after ousting four higher league sides.

Chasetown keep it going
FA Trophy giant-killers Chasetown were at it again on Saturday, as they won 3-1 at Eastleigh to seal a quarter final place.
Richard Davies gave them the lead on the half-hour mark and despite Jamie Slabber levelling the scores just after the break, Danny Smith and Ben Jevons struck in the final half hour to seal a brilliant win.
Before this spectacular campaign, Charlie Blakemore’s men had never made it past the Fourth Round Qualifying so to reach the last eight is an incredible achievement…

Kettering grab late draw to force replay
Chasetown FC came close to a cup upset in the First Round of The FA Trophy when they held full-timers Kettering Town to a 3-3 draw. The Staffordshire club were just minutes away from a famous victory when Kettering equalised in the final minute of normal time.
Chasetown manager Charlie Blakeman thought the game was a classic cup encounter. “For a neutral, it must have been a fantastic game. It was an end-to-end game with chances going both ways,” he said…

Magnificent four for Scholars
Chasetown FC hammered their way into the First Round Proper of the FA Carlsberg Trophy with a superb 4-0 victory over Workington in their replay.
Just as in the weekend’s encounter in Cumbria, every member of the Scholars side played their part, Ryan Price producing a string of super saves and Gary Hay, Ramone Stephens and Ben Jevons standing out.

Despite a delay due to an injured referee, Chasetown forced Workington to an FA Trophy replay with a goalless draw in Cumbria.
