A gang of men convicted of more than 40 robberies on lorry drivers across the Black Country are facing jail. The gang used complicated tracking devices to follow their victims and strike more than 40 times in Smethwick, Cradley Heath and Bloxwich.
Det Sgt Dave Hanson, who led the investigation, said: “The arrest of these men has coincided with a dramatic reduction in the number of lorry driver robberies in the West Midlands”…

Now efforts to combat the problem are to be stepped up with the issue of a blueprint for future action.
The Action Plan has been prepared by Business Voice WM’s Regional Business Crime Forum at the instigation of Minister for the West Midlands, Ian Austin MP.
