More than 1,400 homes were left without power after an underground cable fault in Walsall Wood.

The blackout struck at 2:15pm on Wednesday and left many houses and business with no electricity for more than two hours.

Engineers managed to isolate the fault and restore power to most of those affected by about 5pm.
