Problems with short term loans will come home to roost for the Saddlers this weekend.
Chris Hutchings’s team building in the Summer left us very week and he has been filling in the gaps with loan signings. That doesn’t work, of course, as soon as the players have to return to their parent clubs and Walsall, this weekend, have lost the services of Dickinson (not such a great loss) and the impressive Devaney, all while Macken (probably) and Reid (possibly) will be missing through injury, along with the long term absentee, Byfield. Nicholls and Grigg up front, anyone?
