Rushall Olympic somehow managed to relinquish a comfortable two-goal first half cushion early during the second period, before finally recovering to take all three points in a pulsating contest against third placed Belper Town at Dales Lane.
The hosts were determined to bounce back from a disappointing midweek reversal and got their just rewards for a bright opening on 20 minutes when Anthony Maguire floated in a fine free-kick from the right channel and Craig Bannister rose highest to head powerfully home beyond the reach of ‘keeper Alessandro Barcherini from 12 yards out.
