After Brownhills Bob did an excellent job on showing that council leader Mike Bird has difficulty with maths one would have thought that his Conservative colleagues would have got together and had a quiet word…or at least bought him a gag.
Mike’s arrogance in claiming he is worth ‘twice’ his £29,000 a year allowance while only being paid £1.64 an hour (that would mean he works a 49 hour day, 365 days a year) was bad enough particularly when he and his fellow cabinet members are looking to sack council workers, many of whom earn a lot less than his allowance.
But it seems that Mike can’t help speaking the truth…
