School in Great Barr named most improved in UK for GCSE results

A Great Barr school which was once threatened with closure now boasts the most improved set of exam results in the UK.
Perry Beeches School in Great Barr was put into special measures just three years ago when just 21 per cent of students were achieving five A*- C grades including English and maths.
The comprehensive school has now seen a massive 49 per cent jump to a 74 per cent pass rate, which is the highest increase on record for any UK school…
