Romanians admit stealing M6 metal

Two members of a four-strong Romanian gang who stole metal intended for M6 gantries have been caught and convicted. Costel Stoican and Ionut Colomuz loaded a van with piping being used to create new gantries between Junctions 9 and 10.
They were seen on CCTV taking the metal, which was worth more than £2,500 and belonged to Carillion, from alongside the motorway on 6 March…
