Return of the Bloxwich fountain begins
After a long-drawn-out wait of more than fourteen months, The Bloxidge Tallygraph can exclusively reveal today that the iconic Bloxwich Fountain has begun its much-anticipated return to the Promenade Gardens between High Street and Park Road.
The saga of the much-loved but sadly neglected Victorian fountain, which was erected in Bloxwich Park in 1891 as part of the village’s memorial to Queen Victoria’s Jubilee and moved across the road in 1928, has gripped local folk since the monument was sent away to Birmingham on 27 February 2009 for restoration…
