Pheasey boy’s special delivery for Afghan troops

The Cat and Fiddle, on Beacon Road, was delighted when eight-year-old Charlie Berrington donated more than 50 shoe boxes as part of the pub’s ongoing appeal to send gifts to British soldiers serving in Afghanistan.
The pub contacted Acres estate agents, which is running an appeal for the cause across all its branches in North Birmingham – and donated the boxes ready for distribution.
It is not the first time Charlie has given to the shoe box appeal…
