Darlaston’s Mark Lewis-Francis blasted back to his relay best on the second day of the Aviva London Grand Prix at Crystal Palace on Saturday – to end two weeks of hell.

A fortnight ago the European 100m silver medallist was distraught after messing up the changeover with Marlon Devonish that saw Britain crash out of the heats in Barcelona.

But on on Saturday Lewis-Francis led home an England team in the 4x100m relay that could be among the medals at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi in October and the anchor man was delighted…
