Government announces plans to scrap RDAs

Business leaders in the West Midlands have expressed concern about Government plans to scrap regional development agencies. The new Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition has unveiled plans to replace regional development agencies with local enterprise partnerships.

Simon Topman, chairman of West Midlands Chambers of Commerce, said he was worried about the potential impact on the region at losing the influence of Advantage West Midlands…
