Darlaston factory to close

A Darlaston factory will close after 35 years – with the loss of 26 jobs. Hydratight, which supplies pipe parts for the gas and oil industry, will shut its base in Bentley Mill Industrial Estate, Darlaston, by the end of this month.
Bosses said the decision was made reluctantly because falling demand meant the site was no longer “financially viable”…
