Well i have only just found you and your going !! i am very sad ,i am a full time carer to my severely disabled daughter i am totally housebound at times you are my link to my local news and what is going on around me ,I am very sorry to see you go i wish you luck in whatever else you do and i hope you will return in the future .Thank you for a wonderful service

This is a good suggestion Derek and I will certainly have more time next month. But first, I believe it would be useful for those wishing to get involved in perhaps saving the YamYam to have more information about the nuts and bolts of running the site. I’ll be blogging about this over the next few days, so watch this space.

Please do not take the yamyam away from me, it is my first call for news of any kind, I hope that you are able to find a way to continue this wonderful site, if I were unemployed (and lived in Walsall) I would volunteer at the drop of a hat to help you, can you not get in contact with Walsall Voluntary Action and offer the opportunity for one or two people to help you find material and maintain the site?

Any Walsall bloggers and others fancy getting together with Mark for a pint and a chat to see if we can save the Yam Yam? As long as Mark is willing. I can ask Ken Towe at the Lyndon House Hotel if we use the Sally Anne’s bar downstairs.

Mark, I’d just like to say you succeeded in your aims stated above. The YamYam succeeds in retaining readers by being such a good aggregator: it’s become the glue linking news and local blogs together, and in some cases getting stories online where traditional media haven’t bothered.
