The YamYam 17 Jan 11

Police in Walsall have carried out a warrant at an address in Coalpool and arrested and bailed a man on suspicion of managing a brothel.

Officers from the Coalpool neighbourhood team executed the warrant at an address on Cannon Street at approximately 3 pm on Thurs 13 Jan. This follows information received that the house was possibly being used as a brothel.

A 50 year old man was arrested from the address and has been bailed pending further enquiries by the officers.

The warrant was executed as part of Operation Intrusive. A force wide campaign, the operation will be targeting crime and anti-social behaviour until the end of March.

Sergeant Jim Nixon, from the Coalpool neighbourhood team, said:”We would like to thank the local community for their information and we would like to continue to encourage members of the community to report any suspicious activity in their area. Rest assured any information received will be dealt with in the strictest of confidence and will be acted upon.”
